Are you looking for a new foundation? Don’t want to buy a high end foundation? The new, L’oreal INFALLIBLE Pro-Glow Foundation is what you need. It is NOT only for dry skin!

The Foundation:

This new foundation promises a 24 hour wear with a hydrating glow, and you get just that. This foundation is lightweight, creamy and definitely lasts 12+ hours. Wearing foundation for 24 hours is not great for your skin and I wouldn’t personally recommend it, but if you are up for the challenge, try it!

The Pro-Glow Foundation is a medium coverage and definitely build-able, hiding imperfections for a clear natural complexion.  The foundation has SPF which is perfect for a hot summer day. I did the flash photography test (with my cellphone) and I couldn’t see that much of a white cast.

There are 12 shades – just as the Pro-Matte and it is available online and in retail stores. It has a retail price of $12.99 on the L’oreal Website; a bit on the higher end for a drugstore foundation but still affordable.

Holding up on oily combination skin:

My skin is oily combination  (I do have dry spots) and I’ve noticed that this foundation looks super natural on me and doesn’t cake on. You would think that a dewy foundation wouldn’t be great for oily skin, but in my case it has become my go-to.

I must say that I do get a bit oily by the end of the day with this foundation, but it also happens with all of my other foundations. I also tend to set my foundation with a powder, which is counterintuitive but I do it with all foundations and it helps not get too oily and it still looks natural and fresh!

One thing to note, is that I did use a moisturizer and did not use any setting powder or primer when initially trying out the foundation.

On my second try, I primed my face with the Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer)before applying the foundation and set it with the NYX Dewy Finish Makeup Setting Spray. (LOL I know!) By the end of the day, I was less oily than when not wearing a primer and setting spray.

I think this foundation would work great with dry, dry/combo skin. On the other hand, if you have oily, oily/combo, skin, you should try this foundation by setting it with your favorite powder and try experimenting with setting sprays and primers. I’ve used the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation for about 3 years it always made me look cakey. I’m definitely not going back to that one for a while!

Also, I have not tried the Pro-Matte Foundation but after trying out this foundation I have no intentions of trying it (unless I want to revert back to matte foundations.. LOL). I just love the glow that this foundation gives, especially during the summer time!
