Functionality: ★★★
As it claims, it is indeed a lightweight get moisturizer that helps dry skin. After almost finishing the whole container I can say that I have seen an improvement in my skin. Also, not sure if this is due to the moisturizer, but have seen clearer skin throughout the month that I’ve been trying it out. The moisturizer contains hyaluronic acid which is used in many moisturizers that help with hydration.
Smell / Texture: ★★☆
Has a citrusy, lime smell that screams freshness. It’s not too empowering and after a couple minutes you won’t smell a thing. It has a jelly feel to it when you apply to the skin but gets sipped by your skin.
Packaging: ★★☆
Tarte is the one brand that always comes out with cute packaging. I just wish that it came with a little spoon or spatula to get the moisturizer out without contaminating the whole tub.
Price: ★★☆
$39 on the Tarte website. A bit on the pricier side if you’re comparing it to retail, but good pricing in comparison to other high end brands.
Extras: ★★★
The container has a whole 1.70 fl oz and will last you about one month if it’s the only moisturizer that you are using.
Final Thoughts: ★★★
Although it has a somewhat high price tag and doesn’t contain a little spoon to get it out, I would still recommend it to someone who needs a little hydrating to their skin. I’ll most likely be repurchasing it after I finish it.
