This Strawberry Guava smoothie is delicious and has said to help with joint pain and arthritis pain.
•1 cup strawberries
•1/2 cup guavas
•2 cups spinach
•4 to 6 oz of water
Add all fruits together and water together and blend. I like my smoothies a bit thicker so I add a little bit of water, feel free to add more water if you would like. Add ice to enjoy on a hot, summer day. If you’re allergic to any fruit or can’t have a specific fruit because of it’s sugar contents there are substitutes available.
Again, this is not the only smoothie recipe out there. When making smoothies for arthritis and joint pain, focus on fruits and vegetables that are rich in carotenoid. Fruits and vegetables that are high in carotenoids have been shown to reduce inflammation and lower the risk of getting arthritis. These include fruits that are red and orange in color (papaya, oranges, apricots, mangoes, carrots) and dark, leafy greens like (kale, apples, red grapes, citrus, berries).
